About Us

The PATRA Foundation is a non-profit organization established by The Pan African Transformers, a group of motivated professionals who are deeply passionate about Africa and believe that it is time for continent to transform and achieve its greatest potential.

Our main purpose is effecting change in the continent by making a difference in the way that we develop and create solutions to the many challenges that are facing the African nations. This inferences our value preposition as being anchored in the role we play in fulfilling a vision of a self-sufficient Africa.

The African continent is the world’s oldest populated area and is the second most populous continent with about 1.1 billion people or 16% of the world’s population. Over 50% of Africans are under the age of 25. This automatically underlines the great potential that is the African continent and that is yet to be attained.

The PATRA Foundation seeks to achieve this potential by tapping into our main strengths which are;

  • Strong networks within the African landscape, governments, institutions, and individuals,
  • Proven track record in mobilizing finances from financing mechanisms under Multilateral Environment Agreements (MEA)’s e.g. Adaptation Fund, Green Climate Fund, Global Environment Facility and other investors/financiers.
  • Strong understanding of the African culture and context
  • Strong inhouse capacity backed by a continental network of associates in various professions and sectors

We at The PATRA Foundation believe that Africa should be in the forefront in solving its own problems by working towards raising the living standards of the African nations. The only way to achieve this is through advocacy by demonstration, attaining the challenge of inclusivity in Africa and successfully filling the gaps in self-sufficiency. This will automatically propel the shift of Africa into inclusive prosperity.

WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT AFRICA.
